Across TCGA patient cohorts, RAB42 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,776 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RAB42-associated genes across cancer lineages are CTSZ, SLC17A9, and SLC15A3. Each is linked with RAB42 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RAB42-to-partner and partner-to-RAB42 results are reported.
