Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB3IP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RAB3IP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RAB3IP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RAB3IP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, STAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where RAB3IP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
