Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB3C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RAB3C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RAB3C RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RAB3C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where RAB3C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
