Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB1AP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RAB1AP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where RAB1AP2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RAB1AP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
PRAD, BRCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where RAB1AP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
