Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PYY RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PYY data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher PYY RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PYY expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and UVM show a favorable association.
ACC, BRCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where PYY RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
