Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PWWP3B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PWWP3B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where PWWP3B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PWWP3B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, UCEC, and KICH are the cancer types where PWWP3B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
