Across TCGA patient cohorts, PVALB protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,439 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PVALB-associated genes across cancer lineages are PRKCB, CHRDL1, and MYH1. Each is linked with PVALB in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PVALB-to-partner and partner-to-PVALB results are reported.
