Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PUM1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PUM1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PUM1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PUM1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LIHC, and SKCM are the cancer types where PUM1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
