Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTX3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTX3 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher PTX3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTX3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and BRCA show a favorable association.

CESC, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where PTX3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
