Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPRS mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPRS data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PTPRS mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPRS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PTPRS mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
