Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPRQ RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTPRQ data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher PTPRQ RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPRQ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRP, KIRC, and LUAD are the cancer types where PTPRQ RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
