Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPN6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPN6 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PTPN6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPN6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PTPN6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
