Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPN1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PTPN1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, LUAD, and LGG are the cancer types where PTPN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
