Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTP4A2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTP4A2 data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher PTP4A2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTP4A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where PTP4A2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
