Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTH1R RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PTH1R’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PTH1R RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PTH1R is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and KIRP are the cancer types where PTH1R tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
