Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTF1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTF1A data layer compared with 16 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PTF1A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTF1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, PRAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where PTF1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
