Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTCHD4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTCHD4 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher PTCHD4 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTCHD4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and KIRC show a favorable association.
STAD, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where PTCHD4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
