Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PSTK RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PSTK’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where PSTK RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PSTK is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where PSTK tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
