Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PSMD5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PSMD5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PSMD5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PSMD5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and ACC are the cancer types where PSMD5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
