Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PSMC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PSMC5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PSMC5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PSMC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, ACC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PSMC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
