Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PSMC1P12 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PSMC1P12’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where PSMC1P12 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PSMC1P12 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
PRAD, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where PSMC1P12 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
