Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PSMB8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PSMB8 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PSMB8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PSMB8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and SKCM are the cancer types where PSMB8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
