Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRRC2A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRRC2A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher PRRC2A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRRC2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
PDAC, CCRCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where PRRC2A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
