Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRPF8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRPF8 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PRPF8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRPF8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PRPF8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
