Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRPF4B mass-spec protein differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PRPF4B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where PRPF4B mass-spec protein is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PRPF4B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PDAC and CCRCC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where PRPF4B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
