Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRPF40A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRPF40A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PRPF40A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRPF40A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

LUSC, SCLC, and BLCA are the cancer types where PRPF40A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
