Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRPF40A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRPF40A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PRPF40A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRPF40A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, COAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where PRPF40A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
