Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRPF38A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRPF38A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PRPF38A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRPF38A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LSCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where PRPF38A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
