Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PROB1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PROB1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher PROB1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PROB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, LIHC, and SCLC are the cancer types where PROB1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
