Across TCGA patient cohorts, PRNP protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 13,170 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PRNP-associated genes across cancer lineages are GPR85, CNRIP1, and FEZ1. Each is linked with PRNP in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PRNP-to-partner and partner-to-PRNP results are reported.
