Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRMT8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PRMT8 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PRMT8 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRMT8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and ESCA show a favorable association.

LUAD, BLCA, and DLBC are the cancer types where PRMT8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
