Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PREX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PREX2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PREX2 Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PREX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where PREX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
