Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRDM8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PRDM8 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PRDM8 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRDM8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCS show a favorable association.
SKCM, KIRP, and UVM are the cancer types where PRDM8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
