Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP4R3A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP4R3A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where PPP4R3A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP4R3A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, THCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where PPP4R3A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
