Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP2R5C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP2R5C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where PPP2R5C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP2R5C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, LIHC, and THCA are the cancer types where PPP2R5C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
