Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP2R2B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP2R2B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PPP2R2B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP2R2B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, HNSC, and KICH are the cancer types where PPP2R2B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
