Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP1R15A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PPP1R15A data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher PPP1R15A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPP1R15A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and CHOL show a favorable association.
LGG, MESO, and ESCA are the cancer types where PPP1R15A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
