Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP1R14B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP1R14B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where PPP1R14B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP1R14B is over-expressed in tumor.
HNSC, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where PPP1R14B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
