Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP1R12C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP1R12C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where PPP1R12C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP1R12C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, HNSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where PPP1R12C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
