Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPM1G Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PPM1G data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PPM1G Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPM1G expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, COAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where PPM1G Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
