Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPM1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PPM1A data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher PPM1A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPM1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, SARC, and PRAD are the cancer types where PPM1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
