Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPIAL4H RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPIAL4H’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where PPIAL4H RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPIAL4H is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
READ, UCEC, and STAD are the cancer types where PPIAL4H tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
