Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPIAL4D RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PPIAL4D data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PPIAL4D RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPIAL4D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and READ show a favorable association.

HNSC, THYM, and KIRC are the cancer types where PPIAL4D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
