Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPBP RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PPBP data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher PPBP RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPBP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and CHOL show a favorable association.
THCA, SCLC, and ACC are the cancer types where PPBP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
