Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POTEA RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POTEA data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher POTEA RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POTEA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SKCM show a favorable association.
KICH, ACC, and UCS are the cancer types where POTEA RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
