Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PORCN RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PORCN data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher PORCN RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PORCN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and LGG show a favorable association.
MESO, UVM, and LGG are the cancer types where PORCN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
