Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PORCN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PORCN data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher PORCN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PORCN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where PORCN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
