Across TCGA patient cohorts, POMC RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 13,343 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible POMC-associated proteins across cancer lineages are DOCK11, GIMAP8, and CD14. Each is linked with POMC in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both POMC-to-partner and partner-to-POMC results are reported.
