Across TCGA patient cohorts, POMC mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 464 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible POMC-associated genes across cancer lineages are MT4, TEX43, and RPS27P27. Each is linked with POMC in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both POMC-to-partner and partner-to-POMC results are reported.
