POM121C

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POM121C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POM121C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where POM121C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POM121C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where POM121C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
